Selection & Recruitment of Consultants

This Module explores the procurement processes and practices underlying the procurement of consultancy services. Procurement of consultancy services refer to the selection of external firms or other types of external legal entities or individuals to provide services of an intellectual nature like engineering design, feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, legal and audit services etc. and/or services of an advisory or capacity-building nature like management consultancies, training etc. The procurement of non-consultancy services is not covered in this Module V since a separate Module VI is dedicated to cover the practices applicable to the procurement of non-consultancy services (where physical and not intellectual outputs predominate) which are more akin to the procurement of Goods and Works rather than consultancy services.
