Define the term “procurement” in the public and private sectors;

Define what is meant by Goods, Works, Services;

Understand the scope of application of public procurement laws and regulations and the history of evolution of public procurement laws and regulations;

Understand the objectives of the procurement function (5 R’s) in the public and private sectors and the complementary objectives that characterize public procurement policy;

Understand the differences between public and private procurement
